Q: What is your favorite #IndyMini Memory?
2018 takes the cake. I’ve had a PR in 2016 but being surrounded by one of the most amazing Ambassador Classes in 2018 was a feeling like no other. We supported each other not only through training and running but also during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Q: Who or what motivates you the most during training?
My sister who I most recently lost from her battle with Breast cancer. Knowing the struggles and pain she faced made me think of so many others who aren’t able to do what they love anymore. Being able to do it for them and inspiring others who never thought they could.

Q: What advice do you have for people considering running the #IndyMini for the first time?
Running takes time, patience, and dedication. Listen to your body and be patient for the transformation. The running family is very welcoming to beginners and extremely supportive of all levels. Reach out ask for help and realize we all had to start somewhere. No question is ever one to be embarrassed by.

Q: What’s your favorite song to listen to when running?
Andra Day. “Rise Up”

Q: If you were stranded on an island (and had everything necessary to survive), which three items would you also like to have with you?
Family, Friends, and Bart and Muffin! Sorry I’m a people person! People make the world go around. Consider the above 1 and the last two hammock and camera. 😊

Q: What is your favorite #IndyMini Memory?
Kissing the bricks for the very first time.

Q: Who or what motivates you the most during training?
The goals I set for myself. I was out of shape and lazy for most of my life. Once I made that decision that enough was enough and turned my life around, I have set goals for myself to push my body. Every time I hit a goal, I am amazed that my body can do these things, so I immediately set a new goal because I want to know everything that this body can accomplish.

Q: What advice do you have for people considering running the #IndyMini for the first time?
No one says that you have to RUN the whole thing. Just complete it at your own pace. If you can run, then run. If you can walk, then walk. Just make sure that you keep going forward and that you cross the finish line.

Q: What’s your favorite song to listen to when running?
Sabotage by The Beastie Boys

Q: If you were stranded on an island (and had everything necessary to survive), which three items would you also like to have with you?
A recliner, the Stephen King library and a fishing pole (hey, I love sushi!).
